Eyes up here, guys...

May is just around the corner and 2008 is almost half-way over. I thought it would be a good time to do a status check on my New Years resolutions to see where I stand in this sham of a tradition. Here goes...

Be a better parent: Well, I did teach my three year old son Sam to say, "Bro's before Ho's." AND, not one of my daughters are wearing clear heels and/or cooking up meth in our hall bathroom. I think we can call this one a success.

Learn Spanish: Let's see...I've downloaded all of the Coffee Break Spanish podcasts (58 episodes to be exact). How many have I listened to? Maybe cinco. I think I need a little help with this one.

Lose 20 pounds: OK...this one takes some explaining. After I tore my calf muscle I underwent this radical new rehabilitation procedure of drinking enormous amounts of alcohol while sitting motionless for three months. Surprisingly, the 20-pounds is now 25-pounds. However, my man-boobs are quite the attention getter at happy hour. I'm gonna miss all those free drinks.
